Tasting Notes

This Carignan from Pine Mountain in Mendocino County is a gem. The vineyard benefits from cool nights because of its elevation and warm days which contributes to unique phenolic ripeness while maintaining acidity.

The wine presents a ruby red hue. It is fruit-driven, showcasing classic Carignan characteristics with aromas of red currants and blackberry, intertwined with delicate notes of tea leaves and spices. On the palate, it is well balanced, with a good acidity and medium body and has an impressively long, elegant finish that will make you want to go back.

Winemaking & Sustainability

Respect for nature is at the heart of our philosophy. The vineyard is farmed organically, and we follow the lunar calendar to guide every stage of the winemaking process. We embrace a minimal intervention approach, allowing the wine to express itself naturally while preserving its authenticity and balance.

The wine is 100% aged in second-use French oak barrels, adding depth and complexity, while maintaining its freshness and vibrant fruit character. To further reduce our environmental footprint, we use a lightweight bottle, ensuring sustainability from vineyard to table. Every decision we make reflects our commitment to producing wines that are not only expressive and pure but also respectful of nature for future generations.

Wine Pairing

Enjoy this red wine with red meats, mushroom dishes as well as white meat. It also complements Asian cuisine; it also is a great match for soft goat cheese and chocolate mousse.
